Black Friday is here and once again,
I'm up at 1 to commit a sin.
I dress in layers and good running shoes,
To get the best deals on all that I choose.
Jewelry, electronics and games galore
Are piled in my cart til it can hold no more.
I race down the aisles to mark off my list,
Competing with others to finish my Christmas tryst.
To the front I do head, my feet, they feel dead.
Now here it comes, the moment I dread.
They ring up the gifts, there's pounding in my head.
I pull out the plastic and hope it will work
Or out comes the cash and over it I do fork.
They bag my goodies and home I go,
My shopping is done, ho, ho, ho.
