Red, orange and green, blue and white
A multitude of colors for holiday lights
Mistletoe is hung, jingle bells ring
Choirs of tiny angels, to us, they do sing
Stockings are stuffed, cookies are out
Children have to go to bed, and they pout
They want to stay up to see the jolly man
Who brings them gifts and of whom they're a fan
Finally awake, they peek out their door
Then mom and dad hear little feet on the floor
Their eyes are wide and sparkle with wonder
At the tree and packages that lay under
Paper is ripped and bows tossed away
Children are amused at least for a day.
