A Day at the Park

Slides and swings and rope bridges
Children running, laughing and screaming
They wear themselves out and will sleep well tonight
Constant motion, a blur of color
They know no strangers and no fear
Numb ears and noses won't even slow them down
Taking turns, learning to share
Net yet knowng, life's not fair
They run and tumble, slide and fall
Each one and my heart skips a beat
My baby out there, exposed to the world
and all I can do to make things better
Are mama's hugs and kisses for ever and ever
